CAS-ual Fridays┬áis celebrating their first birthday. They asked us to make a birthday card for this week’s challenge.

I got to use my Tim Holtz Distress Markers for the first time. I must say I loved how they worked on this Penny Black stamp. I finished off the card by drawing in some embossed lines to frame the flowers, then a simple ribbon around the bottom topped off with a Spellbinders die and PTI sentiment stamp. That’s it. I can see a active future with these new distress markers.

Thanks for stopping by.

This card is my entry for

5th Anniversary Day 7: Framed Out #1, Heart-2-Heart #1 & Lighten Up

and

Make It Monday #52: Double Sided Stamped Die Cuts

I stamped both sides of Papertrey’s Half and Half die with the coordinating stamps set. I cut the top piece of paper with the die on both sides to use as the valance for the pulled back “curtins” of the two dies on the sides. Peeking out is a trail of hearts. The stamp and sentiment are by Penny Black.
