It’s PTI 6th anniversary. I decided to do a Valentine card that coincided with a color challenge.

Make It Monday #100: How to Package Cards with Oversized Embellishments

This is the 100th episode of Make It Monday. The challenge is to find a package for a card with oversized embellishment. Those big embellishments are so tempting to make but then there is always the packaging to contend with in the end.

Here is my card and envelope.

card and inside of envelope

I made an envelope out of card stock that was 1/4 inch wide instead of flat.

The card was made using Prima’s Almanac Collection patterned paper. PTI’s Mat Stack #6 was used for the stacked labels in the front. The sentiment is from PTI’s Simply Jane stamp set. The flower is a My Favorite Things die.

Here is the front of the envelope. I used Tag Sale #6 from PTI for addressing the envelope.

Thanks for taking a look.

Happy 100th Make it Monday.

Keep those videos coming.

Tag full size

I made this gift tag for the following challenges:

Make It Monday: Detail Glitter Technique

Simon Says Stamp & Show: House Rules

CAS-ual Fridays: Gift Tags

Tag detail

I used PaperTrey Ink’s Winter Hills stamp set on PTI cream card stock stamped with Versafine gray ink. The tag is a PTI die. The glitter is Tim Holtz’s Distress Stickles Dry Glitter.

I have gift tag made. How many more to go before 12/25? I’d better get a move on. Thanks for coming by.

The inspiration for this month comes from cover art on books.

I loved the colors in the Wizard of Oz cover. Here is what I came up with for this month.

I used the Memory Box Party Lanterns die and aPTI sentiment stamp from Signature Greetings and Martha Stewart papers.

I love these colors. I’m sure I wouldn’t have come up with this combo on my own. Thank you PTI for coming up with this months project and thank you all who came by to take a look.

Papertrey Ink Make it Monday #90: Creating Focal Point Sentiments with Stamps & Dies

I have been drawing imaginary creatures as part of my art journaling. I did this drawing and mounted it on card stock.

I put my sentiment using die cuts and stamps on the inside of the card.

You can see more of my drawing here on my new blog-A Lady’s Home Journals.

Papertrey Blog Hop asked for non traditional holiday color schemes.

Here is what I selected.

Here is my card, using Papertrey dies and stamps and the bird image from InkaDinkaDoo stamps.

A closer look.

Thanks for Hopping over!

I had two birthdays to make cards for this month, one male and one female.

The background border was made with Memory Box Bubble Dot die. The girl is a Hampton Art ABC Primer 3 stamp. The calendar was made using Precious Remebrance Calendar stamp set.

Here is a close up.

The next card was for a dog owner friend whose pup has landed in a cone on occasion.

Here I used PTI’s Celebrate stamp set for the banner. The pup and sentiment was Skipping Stones stamp set Dogs Vol. 1.

Some detail.

Now it’s on to Halloween Cards. Thanks for stopping by.
