A new week, a new Make It Monday. This week’s tutorial is something I had never seen or played around with in my many years of card making.  The link below will take you to the tutorial, if you are interested in taking a look for yourself.

Make It Monday #70: Puffed Fabric Accents

Here is what I came up with for this week.

I used the Papertrey seed packet die but extended it by not cutting the top edge. The negative center space reminds me of a vase. I place fabric in the space then puffed it up by putting the same die cuts shapes ,cut out in foam, behind the fabric. I filled my vase with flowers from the Bloombuilder #3 die. It’s not easy to see the dimension of the vase is in the photo. Here is a closer look.

Lots of fun and not as time consuming as I thought it would be.

Fun things going on at CAS-ual Fridays. This week it’s CFC56: Create a Clean And Simple project using polka dots. I have always been drawn to polka dots whether it’s clothing, accessories or paper. I own more than my fair share. Rather than the obvious patterned paper, I chose a die to make my dots.

Materials used: Memory Box Bubble Dots die, Darcy stamps for the sentiment and image and Heidi Swapp flower embellishments.

Thanks for taking a look.
