I’m taking an online photography class with Nicole’s Classes. Yes, I do a lot of photography but I have never been brave enough to shoot strictly in manual settings. It’s been a fun week. Three more to go.

fast shutter speed

This was taken with a fast shutter speed to freeze motion. Please note it was also taken before the storm that is dropping 2 feet of snow here. Happy shoveling all you metro Boston folks.

It’s PTI 6th anniversary. I decided to do a Valentine card that coincided¬†with a color challenge.

puppy valentine

I used Tremendous Treats Valentine stamps and die for the card and PTI’s envelope liner as well.

Make It Monday #100: How to Package Cards with Oversized Embellishments

This is the 100th episode of Make It Monday. The challenge is to find a package for a card with oversized embellishment. Those big embellishments are so tempting to make but then there is always the packaging to contend with in the end.

Here is my card and envelope.

card and inside of envelope

I made an envelope out of card stock that was 1/4 inch wide instead of flat.

card on stand

The card was made using Prima’s Almanac Collection patterned paper. PTI’s Mat Stack #6 was used for the stacked labels in the front. The sentiment is from PTI’s Simply Jane stamp set. The flower is a My Favorite Things die.

Here is the front of the envelope. I used Tag Sale #6 from PTI for addressing the envelope.

Thanks for taking a look.

Happy 100th Make it Monday.

Keep those videos coming.

I was looking at some of my favorite photos taken in Ecquador. I converted them to black and white in Silver Effects Pro. These were taken with my very first digital camera, a Canon Power Shot.

There is a little more daylight every day. Hope you all had a lovely weekend.

The first month

This is my new monthly calendar journal for 2013. For the inspiration and step by step process click this link.

Wishing you all a happy and healthy New Year!

pin cushion

I made this pin cushion from an Altoids cinnamon chewing gum tin. PTI felt was die cut from a MFT die. The leaves were ribbon hand cut and heated with a heat gun to curl. This was added to a friends Christmas package.

It’s almost that time to ring in the New Year. Tomorrow I will show you my new monthly journal calendar.
